FAQS
Sugaring & Waxing
Can I still be serviced while on my menstrual cycle ?
Yes. As long as you have in a clean tampon, you can still receive your service. If you are not able to, ucomfortable, or do not wish to wear a tampon, please reschedule your appointment in the appropriate time frame that meets the rescheduling policy. If you choose to come in during your cycle, changing your tampon after being serviced is highly recommended.
How long after shaving should I wait to come and get waxed/sugared?
There should be at LEAST a 3 week time frame until you come in. 4 weeks is recommended for better results for waxing. Although sugaring can pick up hairs at a shorter length, there is no guarantee that everything will come up in one service .
How long until I can exfoliate?
1-2 days after your wax/ sugar. Skin should be exfoliated at least 3 times a week.
How long should I wait in between services?
For best skin and hair results, one should be serviced every 4 weeks.
* Changing and/or bringing fresh underwear is highly recommended after receiving a Brazilian or bikini wax or sugar service ! *
Brow Lamination
What is a Brow lamination ?
Essentially a brow perm that allows your brows to look thicker. It elongates the brow hairs giving a fuller look to the brow. Although it is best paired with a tint, it can be just as beneficial on naturally fuller or curlier brows. The service involves three steps.
1. Perming. (solution is applied to straighten out curly, unruly hairs)
2. Setting. (setting the hair in place and desired shape)
3. Keratin treatment. (conditioning newly permed hairs)
What shouldn’t I do before receiving a brow lamination service?
Post Care For the long lasting results:
Do not rub the treated area.
Avoid heat treatments for at least 24 hours.
Do not apply brow makeup for at least 24 hours post treatment.
Avoid sunbathing and sun exposure for 24 hours.
Avoid swimming/saunas/sweating for at least 24 hours post treatment.
Do not exfoliate the brow area.
Exposure to sun & UV lights for long periods of time.
Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment.
How do I maintain and take of my brows after receiving my brow lamination service?
Proper aftercare is important for maintaining the results of your brow lamination procedure, which typically lasts between 4-6 weeks. Without the use of oils or a regenerating cream to support the eyebrows, the results may not last as long.
Do not wet the eyebrows for at least 24 hours after the treatment.
Avoid hot baths/showers, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pools for 24 hours.
Refrain from wearing eyebrow makeup for 12 hours and use oil-free makeup remover when necessary.
Avoid touching or rubbing the eye or eyebrow area to prevent irritation.
Limit exposure to direct sunlight to avoid weakening the perm effect and fading the tint color.
Avoid using chlorine and certain skincare products, as they may shorten the effects of the perm and tints.
Do not apply Retin-A, AHA or exfoliate around the brow area for 72 hours either side of the treatment.
Brows will require styling and setting into place each morning.
Lash Lift
What is a lash lift?
A procedure that lifts and curls the natural lashes, lasting 6-8 weeks. Much like the brow lamination, the lash lift is essentially a perm that enhances and gives definition to your natural lashes for your desired look. The lift can also be paired with a tint, giving the look of wearing mascara, adding more pizazz and intensity. This service also has a three step process.
1. Lift: This step involves breaking down the molecular bond in the lash’s hair follicle.
2. Plump: Setting lotion strengthens and restores the bonds of the lash.
3. Nourish: Conditioning solution that hydrates the lash.
How do I maintain my lashes after receiving my service ?
Lash lifts are pretty low maintenance when it comes to after care. Applying aloe or jojoba oil nightly to maintain integrity of the lash is recommended.
